Christos Tsimbourlas, an excellent connoisseur of the material he uses, accomplishes with his work to maintain a balance between the skillfully delicate and the primitive rough. Confident with the caprices of the clay, he is able to exploit all the possibilities given by the clay and the fire, to fulfill all his fine visions.

I could say that he has formed his own technique in order to confront and conquer this so simple but capricious material.

His work shifts within an aesthetically functional frame: A typical daily object is transformed into an harmonic incident in the space. The main interest in this sculptural work hides in the constant trying of transforming the memory of the objects into pure abstract and geometrical forms.

The result justifies the artist, since he accomplishes to organize a massive and dense aesthetic composition by using the light, the shadow and the form.

I wish him never to lose this freshness and immediate of expression, carrying on his journey through this central axis of memories that inspire him and reveal to him new visions and goals.
